Lourdes "Luli" Sanchez

Many of you asked about the details of the chevron print from last week's post . The print is called Chevron Bleed and it is by Cuban-born artist Lourdes "Luli" Sanchez .

I bought the print on a whim from One Kings Lane a few weeks before Christmas . It was one of those moments where I just instantly fell in love with it and spontaneously decided to go for it . After spending some time on her website, there are so many paintings/prints that I would love to own .

In addition to her beautiful watercolors, she is also a textile designer . You have probably seen some of her designs at West Elm, Anthropologie and Ann Taylor to name a few .

I'm definitely feeling inspired by her work . I think the kids and I may spend this rainy day with paintbrushes in our hands . What do you think ?

Hi Rachel!
I just found your blog when I was searching for Lourdes Sanchez art. I saw the chevron print you got and really loved it as well. I was wondering what you thought of the quality of the print? I have previously ordered a print from One Kings Lane that was printed not on paper but on canvas and I just thought the quality was very poor...I would love to get your thoughts on the chevron one.

Thanks!
Alicia

Hi Alicia. I am very happy with the print. It arrived framed so I didn't take it out of the frame but the print and the frame are both exactly what I was expecting. I don't have experience ordering things printed on canvas from OKL. Good to know that it may not be the best quality. Thanks for your comment!
