I stopped by my local Target yesterday

As many of you know, yesterday Target launched their line of clothing and home goods in collaboration with Missoni.

At my store it really didn't seem to be a big deal. I got there early because I was on the way to an appointment and the parking lot was basically empty. I grabbed a few things but realized I was there too early because the employees were still unpacking a lot of items - specifically the shoes. I decided to stop by again on my way to pick up Riley from school in the afternoon. By this point I had heard about all of the chaos surrounding these items in bigger cities - lines wrapped around the buildings waiting to get in, fights in the aisles, and a crashed website! While a lot of the earlier items were gone the second time around, I still found the shoes I wanted.

(Sorry for the blurry pics - I was trying to take photos during the last bit of day light while also trying not to burn our supper!)
I stuck with clothing since most of the items for the home were either not needed or not really my style. My favorite things were the kids items...I think a lot of the adult items still felt too "young" for me. Since a little bit of these patterns goes a long way, I think I am going to return a couple of things.

Or maybe I'll put them on EBay - I've heard the resale value is pretty good :) I guess this is one of the times it pays to live in a small town.
Did you get anything from the Missoni line? Was it crazy at your Target?

I was so busy yesterday I didn't go-- I was going to drive to Burlington last night to check if the GSO folks had somehow missed that store, but then I didn't, after all.
Challenge: see if you can sell all of your returns on Ebay and make enough to buy a "real" Missoni piece!!
i wish boone had a target :( i saw the ad for this line on tv yesterday, and all the colors and patterns got me pretty excited. then i just sighed and told myself maybe i'll hit a target in a couple weeks when we go to the big city.
I had heard it was madness in the large cities as well - now I wish I had gone to my Target as betting plenty of items still left.

Hello,
I read about this in I believe Vogue magazine and was really excited about it. I just love the patterns. Unfortunately, Target is not yet in Canada!!!! So crossing fingers that this collaboration continues as Target will be in Canada in the near future. L.
It was one of the times I was really grateful to live in the burbs as well! I was able to buy a few things, but all the housewares were GONE, which is what I really wanted. It was kind of strange actually; they've done collaborations with fashion designers for years, but I guess this was the first really well-known brand.
I was very excited about the debut of Missoni at Target and I knew it was going to be a big deal. I looked online at the line before I went to the store. I got the kids off to school, grabbed a couple of girlfriends and we headed over. At least 2/3 was already gone by 10:00 when we arrived. I was able to get everything I wanted on my list (dress and shoes for me, dress and headbands for Lily, suitcase, and toiletry bags). I love it all. It puts a smile on my face. Chances are I probably won't ever own a 'real' Missoni but these pieces are perfect for me.
