Reader Projects
Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 5:00AM A couple of readers have left comments lately with links to some of their DIY projects. I love seeing reader projects and thought I would share them with all of you in case you missed them.
First is Melissa from Love Your Pad. When she saw my DIY marbled paper post she posted a link to a project she recently did using marbled paper. Melissa found a beautiful marbled paper from Paper Mojo and adhered it to the top of an old coffee table and set it under glass.

What a great way to modernize an old, beat-up table. There are so many great papers/fabrics out there that the possibilities for a project like this are endless. You can read more about this project here.
Next, Christina left me a comment on my DIY Upholstered Headboard post with a link to a headboard that she and her husband made using my tutorial. I am so glad to know that my tutorial made enough sense for someone to follow it!
I think the headboard looks great! Also, I get a lot of questions about attaching the foam to the frame but I guess I didn't take a picture of that step, but Christina did. So, hopefully this photo helps clear up any questions that I haven't answered yet.

I started repainting some campaign-style nightstands this weekend. But I think my next project will be a headboard for my guest room. I have a nailhead headboard in my own bedroom and love it. Would be a great challenge to try a DIY version.
