Would you rather

have colored

Erica George Dines

or white lights on your Christmas tree?

Bright Sun Full Heart

We have white on our main tree and colored lights on the tree in Riley's room. The colored lights are starting to grow on me...

A mix of both is what we did this year and I am loving it!

White. White, white, white, white, white, wite, white. The ONLY exception would be if I could find enough of those vintage "bubble lights" (the kind that sort of percolate after you light them-- they are huge and filled with some sort of fluid) to cover an entire tree-- it would be my "It's a Wonderful Life" Christmas tree, all covered in vintage ornaments and tinsel.

My kids like colored, though-- the little tree in my oldest's room has colored lights.

Another vote for white, white and more white! :) I've always felt that the white looks like light glistening off of dew or possibly snow on the tree...LOVE! ('though come to think of it, I don't like faux snow on our inside tree so I guess I'm not willing to go too realistic :) )

the vaughns have traditionally had the large colored bulbs mixed with smaller colored ones, so that would be my pref. granted those big bulbs are all being held together by eletrical tape as dad says there's nothing wrong with them so there's no need to throw them out. scott and i sadly had to take down our pre-lit tree with white LED lights (boiler pipe burst in the basement :( had to bring every thing downstairs to the upstairs and the tree took up too much real estate) but the lights were beginning to grow on me. Hope you guys had a wonderful xmas!
