We have been making lots of Christmas crafts around here lately. It started with these simple snow globes.
Glass jar + some sort of figurine + super glue + water + glitter = snowglobe!
My favorite one is the moose. We even put real moss in the bottom and so far everything is staying put!
I spray painted the lids gold but I was too impatient to wait for them to fully dry so they are a little scuffed up.
Quick and easy = perfect for a 3 yr old.
This next project was for me but a 3 yr old could probably do it.
I was a little underwhelmed by my wrapping paper choices this year. They were all fine but very traditional and predictable. So, I grabbed a roll of white wrapping paper and my new favorite pen, the gold metallic Sharpie.
I used a ruler to randomly draw intersecting lines to create an abstract pattern.
It is just what my gifts needed.
Another project Riley and I have been working on is a Christmas card wreath over our fireplace. I never know how to display Christmas cards and I also usually struggle with decorating our mantle. So, I killed two birds with one stone and made a Christmas card wreath. It has been fun watching the wreath "grow" after we check the mail everyday.
(I swear this looks better in person than it does in the pictures. This room has the strangest paint color and not a lot of direct sunlight so it never photographs well!)
We have also worked on a few other projects but they are Christmas presents so they have to stay under wraps for now. Have you made any fun Holiday crafts with your kids this year? Pinterest has so many good ideas! I wish we had more time! Now that most of the crafts are behind us it is time to start baking! Have a great weekend!
