Shoe Storage

Too much storage space is a problem that most of us would like to have. Because we usually are faced with the opposite problem, I am always on the lookout for creative solutions.

Shoes can be especially hard to store if you are short on closet space.

If you have a lot of heels and a little bit of free wall space, hanging your shoes on a decorative piece of molding is a great idea.

Martha Stewart

It keeps them off of the floor and on display so you can easily make your selection each day.

Another idea is to repurpose a piece of furniture to store your shoes. A cabinet or a bookshelf will do.

Another easy solution is to hang your shoes on an old ladder.

Country Living

I think my favorite option is one of those cabinets. Something about the glass makes the shoes feel more special. I may need to keep my eye out for something like that for Riley's room - she seems to have inherited her mother's (and grandmother's!) love of shoes.

Best ideas for shoe storage and creating a statement / focal piece in a closet or dressing area that I've seen around the blog-world; thanks for pulling this together and sharing! I pinned a few of those images.

I actually have a curio cabinet that is not being used and my husband would like to see "leave the house" but this post has certainly given me ideas, and I think my husband would be fine with it ... his issue simply is if a piece of furniture isn't being used then out it goes ... but now I have a use!
