Score!
Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 5:00AM I did a lot of thrifting while in NC last week. Here are a couple of my finds:

This could use a coat of paint, but I love using statues like this when styling bookcases.

This elephant also needs a coat of paint but I come across these elephants fairly often and I can never pass them up.

I found several pieces of quartz and I thought these pink ones were especially interesting. I picture one of these resting on a stack of books on a nightstand or coffee table.

I seem to have a thing for wooden vessels. I am in love with both of these bowls and can't decide whether to keep them or pass them on to a client.
And my favorite find of the week - this chrome orb floor lamp.

I love the design of this lamp. Look how compact it is when it is completely folded.

The girls accompanied me on all of my thrifting adventures and while Hayes slept in the Baby Bjorn through most of the shopping, I may have created a monster in Riley. When we left the last store after several hours of thrifting she asked me if we could go to another "furniture" store after lunch!

I took her to the park instead :)

I finally made it to the Gingham Daisy last week-- I told them I heard about it through your blog, and everybody just lit up at the mention of your name! I scored a faux bamboo china cab for nothing-- cool store and I will definitely stop back! My kids like thrift stores, too!
Too funny that Riley wanted to go to another 'furniture' store! I remember you and I having quite a different attitude when Mom used to drag us around to antique stores!!
Amazing finds! And Riley's shoes are so cute.
Love the Missoni flats, nice score!
