I've been absent because...
Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 9:32PM we had visitors this week!

My friend Suzanne and her adorable daughter, Mary Bullock, came to see us! Suzanne was the first friend I made at UNC our freshman year and we have been close ever since.

Since she lives in Florida we don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but whenever I see her it feels just like old times. Except with a lot less alcohol. And we go to be bed a lot earlier. And we might have even matured a little since college.
It is so fun to see our kids play together.

Mary Bullock thoroughly enjoyed Riley's play kitchen and I am trying to convince her Mama that we need to build one for her some day.

Mary Bullock is probably one of the most enthusiastic little babies I have ever met. She is so full of personality.

And she didn't even blink an eye when Riley would throw tantrums because she didn't want to share. MB would just move on to the next toy.

They did their best to break in the playroom. Then we took them to the park in an attempt to wear them out.

They had a great time feeding the ducks.

Riley graciously decided to throw her sippy cup into the lake to share with the ducks. Luckily, a helpful stranger fished it out for us.
In the end, I think they had a great time with each other. Each morning Riley would wake up requesting "Mawwy Boooolllluck"!!

Their last night here we put the girls to bed and Paul stayed home with them while Suz and I went out to a big girl's only dinner. It was so relaxing and fun to catch up on everything without interruptions from flailing toddlers :)
As usual, the visit was too short and we miss them already. Thanks so much for coming to visit us, Suz and MB! It is so nice to have friends like you in our lives! Hope we can do it again soon!

Ahh! I've been waiting for this post and the pictures all week! I know you guys had a great time hanging out this week!!
How fun! I remember those days like yesterday. So what is the story behind her name...at first I thought you were using her first and last name?
They are both so beautiful ! Mary Bullock has fantastic eyes ! How very sweet they are !
So cute!! Glad you girls had a great time and I love the pictures of the little ones playing together!!
I love the photo of you two from freshman year! And the pictures of MB and Riley playing together are adorable.
"Enthusiastic" is such a nice way to put it. :) I'm going to have to steal that word from you. I hope her playschool teachers agree! We had so much fun and miss you guys already!
Also: don't get me started on that mess of a college picture you posted. I'm going to see what I can dig up of YOURS that is as bad as my eyebrows. ;)
I love these, too. The girls are so cute!! I felt the same way when I got to hang out with Kimmie & Kathryn so much in Chicago, that I felt like Kathryn was my little friend ; ). We really need to all move back to Chapel Hill and live on the same street. How fun would that be? Love!
