Brick Walls

I really love interior brick walls. My husband's office building has exposed brick walls and it makes me jealous because our house doesn't have them.

I think part of the appeal is the age and texture brick walls bring to a space. I'm not sure if it would be the same to add a brick wall to a new space - it seems better when they are original to a really old building.

I am intrigued by the brick backsplashes in these kitchens. I love the look but I can't imagine trying to clean them. I am tempted though.

I love the exposed brick too and especially in these kitchen pictures. But I would get so annoyed cleaning up a mess on them. I get frustrated just cleaning out the crevasses in our beadboard backsplash.
