Stage 1 is Done!
Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 6:04PM It was so hard to leave the beach today. But it was a little easier knowing we had a surprise to come home to. If you remember, I mentioned a new project I was working on before we left. While we were gone, it was completed!
It is amazing what a difference new carpet and paint can make. I still have some paint to touch-up, but I am so happy with the result! What do you think?

I forgot to ask....who did your carpet? We are getting ready to put a runner up our stairs once all of the remodeling is complete!
The new carpet and the black paint on the stairs and banisters look amazing! The whole stairwell looks brighter. Can't wait to see the transformation to the 'man room'.

Thanks everyone! We think it is a huge improvement. I primed the stairs and had them painted before we went to the beach and then had the carpet installed while we were gone. Stage 2 involves the guest bedroom. We are replacing the carpet in there which is why we went ahead and replaced the carpet on the stairs. We are basically redoing everything in the guest room so it will be a big project! It should keep me busy for a while! I will definitely post about it.

what color and brand of paint is that? Is that a gloss finish?
