I'm channeling this guy for the next few weeks

This is John Pawson.

This is some of his work.

His work intrigues me. Especially his use of light. But I am not channeling his use of light. I am channeling his minimalism. My house will never resemble anything designed by John Pawson because, although his work is beautiful,  I like having my stuff around too much. But, I am cleaning out my entire house over the next few weeks and I am trying to keep John Pawson in mind so that I will actually purge some things! If I can't decide whether to keep something or give/throw it away, I plan to ask myself, "What would John Pawson do?" Wish me luck!

Ha! My plan exactly. In fact, 3 of my 10 New Year's Resolutions involve the words "clean out..."! But, I must catch up on my blogs first. :)

What a goal! I don't think I'll ever get to Pawson's level of minimalism. Maybe I'll start with my junk drawer!

Ha, totally not my style....Looks like someone just moved out but just left the bare minimum to me! I like some stuff and layers! However, I do like to clean out quite often and not keep a lot of extra junk around :)
