Riley's Christmas Gift
Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 7:17AM For Christmas the past two years, I had Riley give my family and Paul her very own Christmas present. Last year she was only 6 months old so I just took a series of photos of her for each of them. This year I wanted her to be able to participate a little more. I decided to let her try out fingerpainting for the first time. I bought some non-toxic finger paint, some posterboard, stripped her down and let her loose.

Then I bought frames from Target matted for two photos and inserted a fingerpainting along with a photo of Riley in action.

They were a big hit at Christmas.

When Riley becomes a famous artist one day, my family will have the first 4 masterpieces she ever created!

Love it!
I don't know what is cuter, Riley or the paintings. I may have to steal..I mean borrow..your idea for my family!!
This is just an adorable idea. I'm thinking of doing something like this with my 6 grands (ages 6 months to 12 years) that they could then give to their parents for a Christmas gift.
Thank you for sharing. We have a Riley, too! She's one of our 12 year old twins. Your little one is adorable.

Great idea! I'm sure your daughter is all grown up into a young child now, but I still love this post. I'll have to keep it in mind at Christmas time!
